📌 Agroecological Business Model: Using Local Seeds for Quality Agricultural Production
Bafar Dah from southwest Burkina Faso produces high-quality seeds for the next season using his own selection.
The 34-year-old farmer strengthens the resilience of the local agricultural system to fluctuations in imported seeds while he has also increased his income by selling the surplus to fellow farmers.
Bafar hopes to be able to make additional investments in the future: “Thanks to seed production, I was able to save money and build a house. That makes me proud.”
