GIZ sector networks SNRD Africa, SENECA SEDE and SNRD Asia and the Pacific joined forces to collect insights into how GIZ delivers agri-food policy advice and which criteria were considered essential to the success of a project.
In total, 20 projects took part in the survey; eight case studies were assessed in more detail. The review of principles and good practices of agri-food policy advice aims at a further improvement of GIZ approaches and at increasing awareness regarding the importance and effectiveness of agri-food policy advice in facilitating structural changes in the development agendas of partner countries. While there is no one-size-fits-all solution, substantial lessons can be learned from the experiences of other projects.
