Farmer Organisations 👉 What Role Do They Play in the Transformation of Agri-Food Systems
📌  Brief statement by Jan Pusdrowski at the 2023 SNRD Africa conference “Transform & Innovate: Future-proof Food Systems”, which was held in Somone/Senegal, 8-13 October.
Jan is Regional Coordinator East Africa at Andreas Hermes Akademie which is working with the Global Program Strengthening of Farmer Organisations.
Right now the Hermes Akademie is carrying out activity in seven African countries and India. In the future, they intend to engage in an agricultural policy dialogue with the African Union via the German Ministry for Food and Agriculture as well.
